Downloading a past exam is just the first step. Here's how to get the most out of each practice session:
1. Simulate Real Test Conditions
Take the exam in one sitting, timed, with no notes or outside help. The Regents is 3 hours for most subjects — practice under that same pressure. Use the official reference tables (Earth Science Reference Tables, Chemistry Reference Tables) exactly as you would on test day.
2. Score Yourself Using the Official Rubric
Every past exam comes with an official scoring guide that includes:
- The correct answer key for multiple-choice questions
- Detailed rubrics for constructed-response and essay questions
