Free Math Worksheets for Every Grade & Topic (With Answer Keys)

Consistent practice is one of the most reliable ways to build math fluency — and the right worksheet makes all the difference. Whether your student is working on basic addition in 2nd grade or factoring trinomials in Algebra II, having targeted, printable practice problems available at home is a huge advantage.

We've pulled together the best free worksheet resources from Math Monks — a comprehensive library covering every math topic from elementary through high school. Every worksheet includes a downloadable PDF with an answer key on the last page.

How to Use These Worksheets

Each worksheet on Math Monks is a free PDF download. Click the "Download PDF" button below any worksheet — the answer key is included on the second page of the PDF. Print it out, work through the problems, then check answers on the back.

Tips for getting the most out of practice worksheets:

  • Do one worksheet per topic before moving on — don't skip ahead if errors are frequent
  • Time yourself on computation worksheets to build speed alongside accuracy
  • Use the answer key to understand why a wrong answer happened, not just that it was wrong
  • Revisit a worksheet 3–5 days later to confirm the skill has stuck

Elementary School Worksheets

Great for Grades 1–5. Build the foundational number sense and arithmetic skills that everything else depends on.

Middle School Worksheets

Grades 6–8. This is where arithmetic transitions into pre-algebra and algebra — the most important bridge in all of math education.

High School Algebra Worksheets

Algebra I, Algebra II, and Pre-Calculus topics. These are the most commonly tutored subjects at Sophie Academy.

Geometry Worksheets

Covers shapes, angles, proofs, and coordinate geometry — essential for the NY Regents Geometry exam and SAT math.

Advanced & Specialty Topics

For students in Pre-Calculus, AP courses, or looking for enrichment beyond the standard curriculum.

Which Worksheets Are Right for Your Student?

Not sure where to start? Here's a quick guide by grade level:

Grades 1–3: Start with Addition, Subtraction, Counting, and Place Value. Build number sense before moving to multiplication.

Grades 4–5: Multiplication, Division, Fractions, and Decimals. These four topics are the foundation of all middle school math.

Grades 6–7: Ratios, Percentages, Integers, and Order of Operations. If any of these feel shaky, go back to Fractions and Decimals first.

Grade 8 / Pre-Algebra: One-Step and Two-Step Equations, Slope-Intercept Form, and Coordinate Plane. These are the gateway to Algebra I.

Algebra I: Linear Equations, Systems of Equations, Factoring, and Quadratic Formula. These are the core of the NY Regents Algebra I exam.

Geometry: Triangles, Parallel Lines, Quadrilaterals, and Coordinate Geometry. Pair with official Regents past exams for exam prep.

Algebra II / Pre-Calc: Polynomials, Rational Expressions, Radicals, Binomial Theorem, and Trigonometric Ratios.

When Worksheets Aren't Enough

Worksheets are excellent for drilling skills you've already been taught — but they can't explain why a method works, catch a persistent misconception, or adapt to how a specific student learns. If your student is completing worksheets but still struggling on tests, that's usually a sign that a concept needs to be re-taught, not just re-practiced.

A Sophie Academy tutor can identify exactly where the gap is, re-explain the concept in a way that clicks, and build a targeted practice plan around the specific worksheets your student needs most.
